The UK implemented a series of national lockdowns as part of its efforts to control the coronavirus. Khalsa Aid deployed multiple teams to provide NHS staff members, alongside people who required help during the pandemic, due to financial, health or any other reasons.
Food packs were provided throughout West London and surrounding areas, including Brentford, Ilford, Harrow, Whitechapel, Leytonstone, Ickenham, Reading, Slough, Southall, Hounslow, Isleworth, Chiswick and Feltham.
To support our local NHS heroes, our teams worked to provide hot meals to NHS staff at hospitals and vaccination centres. The service helped support NHS staff who were unable to carry out their own grocery shopping due to the limited time, while also providing fresh fruit and vegetables along with any bulk food items outside the local hospital during shift times.
Please acknowledge that a significant portion of beneficiaries remains unaccounted for due to the inability to comprehensively track data amidst this chaotic and rapidly evolving situation.
