Food prices rose sharply during 2022 and 2023, as global supply chain disruptions and the lingering effects of COVID-19 lifted the input costs of food producers. The UK is in a cost of living crisis. Langar Aid sought to respond to the escalating challenges those living below the poverty line faced, and the additional pressures that came with the economical downpour in the UK.
We recognize that homelessness and vulnerability often result from deep-rooted and complex issues, including addiction and mental health challenges. To help address these underlying causes, we are expanding our efforts and collaborating with external agencies that offer specialized expertise and support, especially Steps for Change.

Our 2018 Bag of Warmth campaign provided comfort to individuals who did not have access to winter essentials. This was supported exclusively by local schools, where students helped to pack and distribute bags containing essentials such as warm outerwear, flasks, thermal blankets, hot water bottles and more.
A multi-agency drop-in centre that addressed rough sleeping across Coventry City Centre. The initiative was introduced in 2017 with the Coventry Police Partnership and Langar Aid, in order to provide the relevant advice for those struggling all under one roof.
Langar Aid, Khalsa Aid's flagship project based in the UK, is dedicated to providing food for the homeless and vulnerable across the country. Its work extends beyond the UK, providing crucial support to Khalsa Aid’s international relief missions.
The seeds for Langar Aid were sown in a family home in 2016 in Coventry, and swiftly blossomed into the impactful, compassionate project that we know it for today.
Previously known as Winter Night Shelter Milton Keynes, Unity MK supports individuals and families who are at risk of homelessness.
Coventry City Council is the local authority for the city of Coventry in the West Midlands, England. Langar Aid supports various departments at Coventry City Council with food parcels. Parcels are given to the migrant team, refugees, night shelters, winter shelters and schools.
