Khalsa Aid’s Water4Africa is a long-term development project that aims to bring clean, safe, and accessible drinking water to the remote rural communities of Africa, including Malawi, Zambia, Kenya and The Gambia. Our Water4Africa project has benefitted thousands with clean and accessible water for almost a decade, and we remain steadfast in our commitment to this cause.
Khalsa Aid expanded the Water4Africa project by installing 11 solar-panelled water pumps across villages in The Gambia, including Luluchor, Kasila, and Upat, bringing the total number of installed pumps in The Gambia to 14. These pumps brought clean water to approximately 4000 residents.
In collaboration with the Buzz Women Organisation (BWO), our teams piloted a new tree-planting project Plant the Path. This supplementary project has seen over 1200 beneficiaries in The Gambia.
Khalsa Aid is also working with 3 solar water energy companies, assessing 17 villages for electricity and water needs. This promises over 8,900 potential beneficiaries.

"This much needed assistance could not have come at a better time. This borehole will provide safe drinking water for my people thereby reducing water-borne diseases. It will also be used to water our livestock and as well be used for gardening and purification during salat. Khalsa Aid International has left indelible marks in our hearts and your generosity will be relayed to generations yet to come."
