Nepal, like many other countries, faced significant challenges as it grappled with the COVID-19 pandemic. By the end of 2020, Nepal had reported approximately 260,000 confirmed cases. In May 2020, Khalsa Aid International extended their South Asia operations to support Nepal with the pandemic.
Khalsa Aid distributed food packages and essential supplies to over 2000 people, particularly those severely impacted by the lockdowns. Daily wage workers, migrant laborers, and underprivileged families benefited from these efforts, as many had lost their sources of income due to the pandemic.

“We are back in Nepal working alongside local volunteers and authorities to help cities like Kathmandu with Covid relief efforts. Our volunteers were previously deployed in Nepal following the devastating earthquake in 2015. We continue to have a special bond with the people of Nepal.”
One of Khalsa Aid's primary areas of focus is providing immediate relief during natural disasters and conflicts. When disasters like earthquakes, floods, or tsunamis strike, Khalsa Aid is often among the first organizations on the ground, distributing food, water, medical supplies, and shelter to affected populations.
