How we helped

Khalsa Aid was resolute in healing a nation struck by disaster, and dispatched an emergency relief team which were on ground within 36 hours. A third of the whole nations population was affected, leaving hundreds of thousands in extreme poverty and to have lost everything. Khalsa Aid committed to support a number of children's facilities in Nepal.

Areas of impact

Shelter

Many remote villages had houses completely destroyed, leaving villagers homeless. Khalsa Aid facilitated the homing of these families by building over 1100 semi-permanent homes. Volunteers worked with the local Government to support rubble clearance activity over a two week period.

Impact so far

One of Khalsa Aid's primary areas of focus is providing immediate relief during natural disasters and conflicts. When disasters like earthquakes, floods, or tsunamis strike, Khalsa Aid is often among the first organizations on the ground, distributing food, water, medical supplies, and shelter to affected populations.
