Kisumu - the 3rd largest city of Kenya - suffered the worst flooding in decades, most victims already living under the poverty line and affected deeply by the COVID-19 pandemic. Sikh Aid Kisumu approached Khalsa Aid to support the affected and prevent any further health risks that came with the flooding.
While Sikh Aid Kisumu provided hot cooked meals, Khalsa Aid funded the distribution of 3000 packs of mosquito repellent and 2000 mosquito bed nets.
One of Khalsa Aid's primary areas of focus is providing immediate relief during natural disasters and conflicts. When disasters like earthquakes, floods, or tsunamis strike, Khalsa Aid is often among the first organizations on the ground, distributing food, water, medical supplies, and shelter to affected populations.
