During COVID-19, Kenya experienced widespread disruptions and the health system struggled with increasing cases, limited medical supplies, and inadequate facilities. Many people lost jobs as businesses shut down, especially in the tourism and informal sectors, and hunger rose due to economic hardships. Alongside the Ramgarhia Youth Association (RYA), Khalsa Aid provided support to supply food parcels to households in several areas.
Khalsa Aid donated £20,000 to supply food parcels to 1,850 families impacted by the pandemic, with RYA volunteers handling the distribution to households.
One of Khalsa Aid's primary areas of focus is providing immediate relief during natural disasters and conflicts. When disasters like earthquakes, floods, or tsunamis strike, Khalsa Aid is often among the first organizations on the ground, distributing food, water, medical supplies, and shelter to affected populations.
