Clean water

Water4Africa - Kenya

Project summary

Khalsa Aid’s Water4Africa is a long-term development project that aims to bring clean, safe, and accessible drinking water to the remote rural communities of Africa, including Malawi, Zambia, Kenya and The Gambia. Our Water4Africa project has benefitted thousands with clean and accessible water for almost a decade, and we remain steadfast in our commitment to this cause.

How we are helping

Khalsa Aid worked very closely with the Sikh community of Kenya in 2011. From this point, they hoped to sustain relief efforts and remedy any ongoing droughts across the country by initiating the Water4Africa project.

Khalsa Aid consistently partners with Ramgarhia Youth Association to build water facilities in Kenya, of which benefits 7 villages.

Khalsa Aid worked to identify areas of severity for the installation of water pumps. The village of Olo Shaki in the Kaijado district was the recipient of a borehole. This went on to benefit over 1,000 villagers and their livestock.
