In April 2024, Khalsa Aid deployed a team to Cairo, Egypt, to provide urgent assistance to Gaza in collaboration with the Egyptian Red Crescent (ERC). Teams loaded a convoy of trucks with vital supplies at the border, which were then driven and delivered into Gaza.
The ongoing humanitarian crisis has deeply affected countless lives in Gaza. Over 1.7 million internally displaced people continue to be deprived of necessities like food, water, and access to hygiene facilities. Of this malnourished population, children account for half of these lives. Khalsa Aid is eager to sustain relief efforts during this perilous time.
• Hygiene kits - essential hygiene items such as Nail Clipper, Hair Brush, Small Cotton Towel, Full body Size Towel, Toothpaste, Toothbrush, Disposable Wipes, Shampoo, Anti Lice Shampoo, Soaps, Hanging Line and Women Sanitary Pads.
• Food packs - a variety of non-perishable food items such as Flour Bag, Halawa, Biscuits, Oil, Dates Biscuit, Jam, Beans, Chickpeas, Salt, Dry Yeast, Rice, Bulgur, Pasta and Tomato Sauce.
One of Khalsa Aid's primary areas of focus is providing immediate relief during natural disasters and conflicts. When disasters like earthquakes, floods, or tsunamis strike, Khalsa Aid is often among the first organizations on the ground, distributing food, water, medical supplies, and shelter to affected populations.
