Khalsa Aid Founder and CEO Ravi Singh joined Adrian Burton, Director of Retail Risk at Nationwide, for a conversation on service, compassion, and standing with communities in times of need.

Khalsa Aid Founder and CEO Ravi Singh was a special guest a hybrid event hosted by Nationwide Building Society in London, joining attendees both in person and online for a meaningful conversation on service, compassion, and shared humanity.

The event formed part of the organisation’s Vaisakhi celebrations and created space for reflection, dialogue, and learning. Ravi joined Adrian Burton, Director of Retail Risk at Nationwide, for an insightful session exploring the values that continue to shape Khalsa Aid’s humanitarian work in the UK and around the world.

Drawing on Khalsa Aid’s journey over the years, Ravi spoke about the responsibility to stand with communities in times of need with dignity and compassion, no matter who they are or where they come from. His reflections centred on the importance of shared humanity and the belief that service must rise above difference.

Participants at the Nationwide Vaisakhi event also watched a short film showcasing Khalsa Aid’s work in the UK and internationally, offering insight into the organisation’s humanitarian response across different contexts. The film highlighted support for communities affected by crisis, displacement, and hardship.

The event concluded with an open Q&A session, where those attending in person and online had the opportunity to ask Ravi questions about Khalsa Aid’s work, the values that guide its response, and the realities of humanitarian service. The exchange encouraged meaningful discussion and gave participantsa deeper understanding of the people-centred approach behind Khalsa Aid’s work in times of need.

For Khalsa Aid International, the event was a great opportunity to take part in a wider conversation around service, equality, and shared humanity. It also reflected the spirit of Vaisakhi through dialogue that was inclusive, thoughtful, and rooted in compassion.

Khalsa Aid is grateful to Nationwide Building Society for hosting the event and for creating space to mark Vaisakhi in a way that encouraged reflection, engagement, and shared values.
