Khalsa Aid joined Sky Sikh Network's Vaisakhi celebrations at Sky Innovation Centre, sharing the humanitarian mission of Seva with attendees through culture, community, and conversation.

Khalsa Aid joined hundreds of attendees at Sky's Innovation Centre in Osterley, London, to celebrate Vaisakhi, one of the most significant dates in the Sikh calendar. The event was hosted by Sky Sikh Network.

The Vaisakhi celebration at Sky brought together colleagues, community members, and guests for a day of culture, learning, and connection. The programme included a Gatka martial arts performance, an artefact exhibition, traditional masala chai (Indian tea) and food, and special guest appearances that reflected the depth and richness of Sikh heritage.

Ravi Singh, Founder and CEO of Khalsa Aid International, attended as a special guest, representing the organisation's commitment to community engagement beyond the field. Alongside the main celebrations, Khalsa Aid hosted a dedicated stall where attendees could meet the team, explore merchandise, and learn about the work we do. Through those conversations, we shared the principles of Seva (selfless service) that guide Khalsa Aid's response to communities affected by conflict, disaster, and hardship worldwide.

The event also helped raise awareness of Khalsa Aid's Snowdon hike fundraiser, connecting celebration with action and encouraging people to support a cause rooted in collective effort and compassion.

Vaisakhi is not only a celebration of harvest and new beginnings — it marks the founding of the Khalsa in 1699 and the values of justice, courage, and service that Sikhs carry forward today. Events like this one matter because they build understanding, strengthen community ties, and open conversations about what it means to stand with others.

Thank you to everyone who visited our stall and spent time with our team. Your engagement keeps the mission moving forward. As Khalsa Aid continues to serve humanity, moments like these are a reminder of why community matters and why we do what we do.
