Langar Aid Supports Newly Arrived Communities in the UK

Our Langar Aid team partnered with a local community group to support newly arrived and vulnerable individuals across the UK.

Our Langar Aid team recently came together with a local community group to support newly arrived and vulnerable individuals by distributing 110 duvets, generously donated by OCS London.

At a time when many people across the UK are facing uncertainty, insecurity, and displacement, access to something as simple as warmth can make a meaningful difference. Alongside the duvets, our volunteers also shared food and refreshments, creating a space rooted in comfort, belonging, and dignity.

Beyond practical support, the day was about connection. Our team took time to listen, speak with individuals, and hear their stories first-hand. Many shared experiences of hardship and loss, highlighting the real human impact behind every crisis. These moments reaffirm why Langar Aid exists and why community-led support remains essential.

Working in partnership with organisations rooted in local communities allows us to reach people who are often unseen and underserved. This collaboration allowed us to support individuals as they begin to rebuild their lives.

We are grateful to OCS London for their kind donation. We also thank our community partners for their collaboration and our dedicated volunteers whose compassion and commitment made this support possible.

At Khalsa Aid, Seva means standing with people in their moments of need. Through collective action and shared humanity, we continue to serve communities with care, respect, and solidarity.
