Four UK-contracted members of Khalsa Aid International's India Chapter recently resigned following the implementation of enhanced audits, which uncovered serious concerns including undisclosed conflicts of interest and resistance to necessary corrective actions during flood relief efforts in Panjab. The organization took immediate action to protect the integrity of aid. While the departing individuals made public allegations, Khalsa Aid maintains that these statements are intended to divert attention from their own misconduct and remains steadfastly committed to delivering transparent and accountable aid to the people of Panjab.

In recent weeks, four UK-contracted team members assigned to support our India Chapter have tendered their resignations. Their departure comes at a time of heightened operational activity and strengthened oversight. As Khalsa Aid International scaled up emergency relief for flood-affected communities across Panjab, our global teams introduced enhanced audit processes to reinforce transparency, compliance, and project-delivery standards.

During these reviews, several serious concerns came to light, including undisclosed family relationships amongst the four members that resigned which created conflicts of interest, a pattern of resistance to required corrective actions, and shortcomings in the management and execution of critical projects. Immediate actions were taken to safeguard the integrity of our work and ensure that assistance reached those most in need.

Following their resignation, the individuals held a press interaction in which they made various allegations. Khalsa Aid will not engage in a point-by-point rebuttal, nor will we participate in unnecessary public confrontation. However, it is important to note that these statements appear intended to divert attention from the issues raised regarding their own misconduct and failures.

Our priority continues to be the people of Panjab. We remain fully committed to delivering aid with integrity, transparency, and accountability. We are working closely with independent auditors, partner organisations, and volunteers on the ground to ensure that every donation is used ethically and effectively for the welfare of flood-affected communities.

Our commitment to Panjab—and to humanitarian service—remains steadfast and unwavering.
