Our annual Snowdon Hike came around before we even realized it, and it was a huge success! With over 750 participants, everyone enjoyed the stunning views and embraced the challenge.
More than 750 people from all across the UK, aged between 9 and 70, took on the challenge and have collectively raised over £158k (with donations continuing after the event via GiftAid).
Despite the poor weather conditions, our hikers persevered for a good cause and we cannot be more thankful. We hope you enjoyed the day with family, friends and made new friends along the way.
Langar Aid, our organization dedicated to feeding the homeless in Coventry, provided fresh food and hot tea. There was plenty to share with other trekkers climbing Mt. Snowdon that day as well.
Your incredible efforts have helped raise an incredible amount.
Here are some examples of where your money will go:
• £100 provides a food pack for a refugee family for 3 months.
• £120 feeds 200 children at breakfast clubs in the UK.
• £200 provides 300 meals for the homeless.
• £500 will cover a year's pension for a family affected by the 1984 Sikh genocide.
• £1000 helps us provide training and employment support for a poor family in India.
• £3500 will build a hand pump to provide 1000 people with water in remote villages in Africa.
• £7000 would help to rebuild a home for an underprivileged family in India.
