Khalsa Aid International delivered 2,000 food and 2000 iftar packs to Syrian refugee families across camps in Turkey. The three day distribution supported families affected by the conflict and the 2023 earthquakes, with dedicated Ramadan packs funded by Khalsa Aid Canada.
For thousands of Syrian refugee families in Turkey, life in displacement continues long after global headlines have faded. Many remain affected by the conflict as well as the devastating earthquakes of 2023.
Over three days, Khalsa Aid International teams delivered essential food support across multiple refugee camps and distribution centres. A total of 4,000 aid packs including 2,000 iftar packs and 2,000 food packs were distributed, providing vital supplies for daily cooking and for families observing Ramadan.
Each food pack contained rice, flour, sugar, lentils, and other staples to support households facing economic hardship and uncertainty.
The dedicated iftar packs were funded by Khalsa Aid Canada, ensuring families fasting during the holy month were not left without adequate food at sunset.
Khalsa Aid has been supporting displaced communities in Turkey since 2023 through regular distribution drives and sustained humanitarian response. While some families are preparing to return to Syria, many will return to damaged homes, limited infrastructure, and uncertain livelihoods. Continued support remains essential.
Khalsa Aid CEO and Founder Ravi Singh was present during the distribution. Reflecting on the initiative, he said:
“It’s not just about the food. It’s about saying that we support you in your hour of need. Many refugees may return home soon, but they will never forget who stood with them.”
He also expressed gratitude to the Khalsa Aid Canada team and to all supporters whose contributions made this distribution possible.
As families navigate recovery and potential return, Khalsa Aid remains committed to providing consistent, practical support where it is needed most.
