Khalsa Aid Stands with Civilians as Attacks on Lebanon Continue

08 Apr 2026 | Updated 08 Apr 2026

As attacks on Lebanon intensify and the civilian death toll rises, Khalsa Aid reaffirms its commitment to standing with displaced families and delivering emergency relief and sustained humanitarian support.

Lebanon is facing one of the most severe humanitarian crises in its recent history. At least 1,500 people have been killed, including 130 children. More than 1.2 million people –– one in five of the entire population, have been displaced from their homes. Shelters are beyond capacity. Families are sleeping in tents, in cars and in public spaces with nowhere else to go.

Khalsa Aid condemns any attack that costs innocent civilian lives. We stand with every civilian caught in this crisis regardless of their background, faith or community.

The attacks have intensified in recent days with bombardments reported across multiple regions of the country. The displacement crisis continues to deepen. For the families Khalsa Aid has met in shelters across Beirut, Saida and northern Lebanon, the situation is not an abstract news story. It is the daily reality of not knowing when it will end, of children growing up in overcrowded classrooms turned into sleeping quarters and of relying on food parcels as their only source of nutrition.

Khalsa Aid has been on the ground in Lebanon since the crisis escalated in March 2026, distributing 2,000 emergency food packs to displaced families and providing emergency water tank support to a shelter where families had no access to clean water. Khalsa Aid Founder and CEO Ravi Singh visited Lebanon on 2 April 2026, meeting municipality representatives and visiting shelters to understand what families need most. The answer was consistent across every shelter: food, clean water, hygiene supplies, bedding and dignity.

Khalsa Aid is now preparing the next phase of its response. Hygiene kits, women's dignity packs, blankets, mattresses and sustained food support are being planned for deployment as needs are confirmed on the ground.

The crisis in Lebanon demands urgent and sustained support from the global community. Khalsa Aid will continue to stand with displaced families for as long as the need exists. If you would like to support our work in Lebanon, please donate to Khalsa Aid.
